I offer an extensive range of mouldings, mountboards and glazing choices. When you visit my workshop, my experience and expertise will help you to choose a complimentary and enhancing style of framing, to show your art work at its very best.
I make frames from pre-manufactured mouldings, examples of which are available for you to choose, from my stock of chevron samples. Similarly, I have a selection of the most often preferred mountboards, examples of which are available in chevron format. I also produce frames from plain, natural and unfinished woods which are hand-finished either prior to cutting or after the frame is assembled. The natural species I most commonly use are: ash, beech, cherry, maple, oak, obeche and pine. Other exotic species are available, upon request. Advice on the most suitable treatment of your valuable and collectable art and frame is readily available, to preservation and museum level when required, to provide the maximum protection and to preserve it, for future generations. No less so is advice available for the presentation of a pleasing, or sentimental piece of admittedly little monetary value. My aim is to provide the best possible service for your particular requirement; whatever that requirement, in artistic terms, may be. I can also supply beveled mirrors made to any size, in traditional or modern frames.
From the standard framing of photos and certificates to framing sports clothing and the design and crafting of unique frames for contemporary paintings. No job is too large or small and every client is important to me.
I do not, however, work to tight deadlines. Preferring to provide the time necessary to each project to ensure that it is the best that I can possibly produce. The time taken for me to produce your work will be realistic, but there will always be those who will promise that your work can be produced more quickly. And they may be right. But my assurance to my customers is for a completed article of notable quality, rather than simply a piece of work which is acquired quickly. I am pleased to be able to accept difficult and complex jobs which some framers would turn away. Attention to detail and customer service are very important to me and I believe that this will always be a key factor in any successful venture. I enjoy my work and feel that this reflects in the quality of work that I produce.
